What is ClimRR?
ClimRR provides data about future conditions and environmental extremes to help us better plan and adapt for the future. Using one of the world's largest supercomputers, ClimRR datasets provide among the most comprehensive, free dynamically downscaled projections for the United States.

Environmental extremes and related hazards are becoming more complex, intense, and frequent. Understanding these future conditions in cities and towns across the United States is necessary to prepare for these risks to the nation. ClimRR empowers individuals, governments, and organizations to examine simulated future conditions at mid- and end-of-century for a range of hazards and perils. Developed by Argonne National Laboratory in close collaboration with AT&T and the United States Department of Energy's Office of Electricity.

What we aim to achieve
ClimRR seeks to empower non-technical individuals, organizations, planners and decision-makers at state, local, tribal, and territorial governments to gain awareness of future conditions and to conduct science-informed analyses to support decision-making and risk-mitigation efforts.
The data within ClimRR can enable technical audiences' access to data. Users can apply future hazard projections to examine infrastructure design criteria, aid in development plans, and inform other technical analyses that benefit from robust data for future conditions.
ClimRR data can be combined with population and infrastructure data to analyze today's communities in the context of tomorrow's hazard conditions. Data layers can be uploaded to the Resilience Analysis and Planning Tool (RAPT) for in-depth community analysis.
